New Charity Partnership for Catalyst

Catalyst is delighted to announce the charity partnership with Healthier Heroes CIC.

Healthier Heroes CIC is a community interest company based in Burnley, Lancashire, dedicated to supporting ex-service personnel, their families, and carers facing complex challenges. Established in 2018 by Andrew Powell, a former Colour Sergeant with 16 years of infantry service, and his wife, Healthier Heroes addresses issues such as homelessness, mental health, and social isolation within the veteran community.

Catalyst Director of Operations, Neil Saxton comments, "I've seen firsthand the work that Healthier Heroes does to help those who have served in our Armed Forces. They protect those who have put their lives on the line for King and Country. It is a fantastic opportunity for Catalyst to join forces with a charity which makes real differences to peoples lives."

Supported Housing: Operating Bancroft House, a 27-bed facility offering supported living accommodations for veterans across Lancashire, providing a stable environment to aid recovery and reintegration.
Rehabilitation and Wellbeing: Focusing on mental health support, addiction recovery, and overall wellbeing to help veterans overcome personal challenges.
Education, Training, and Employment: Offering tailored programs to enhance skills, improve employability, and facilitate successful transitions into civilian careers.

Healthier Heroes CIC operates with a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, many with lived experiences of the challenges veterans face, ensuring empathetic and effective support. The organisation collaborates with various community groups and organisations across the North West to extend comprehensive assistance to the armed forces community and blue light services.

Through their commitment, Healthier Heroes CIC strives to empower veterans and their families, helping them overcome barriers and achieve a better quality of life.

New Investment for Pakistan Super League Cricket Team

Catalyst is delighted to have facilitated the partnership between Qatar and Pakistan, with the investment in professional cricket franchise Quetta Gladiators.

Quetta Gladiators compete in the Pakistan Super League and were crowned the champions in season 4 of the league. The team is nominally based in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochi stan with an aim to represent its people globally. The franchise was established in 2015 as a result of the formation of the PSL by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The team’s home ground is Bugti Stadium located at the Ayub Sports Complex in Quetta. Pakistan’s former captain and prominent wicket-keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed is the captain of the team and is coached by former Pakistani captain and wicket-keeper Moin Khan while West Indian legend Viv Richards is team’s mentor.

The new home of Sky Sports News and Soccer Saturday now features a cinema-level, HDR LED wall created using Unilumin's new UMini LED, which utilises RGB full-inversion and dynamic energy-saving technology. This translates into fantastic picture quality and power savings. Let's hope the players perform as well this season.

Viewers will see the new 164m² / ~1765 ft² studio for the first time, as well as brand new graphics, with Sky Sports News moving from Chyron as its main graphics engine to Viz in order to align with the rest of the Sky Sports output, as well as the businesses in Italy and Germany.

Following on from winning the Irish Cup last year, 24 year old Winger Navid Nasseri made the move from Glentoran to rivals and Champions Linfield FC this season and they are currently top of the Northern Ireland Premier League. So far this season Navid has been on influential form, scoring two goals and five assists in ten league games.
